Facebook Chat in Kopete

If you don’t want to use the Facebook-chat plugin for kopete (crashes mine), you can simply use the jabber protocol to chat with your facebook buddies.

For opensuse (11.2) I installed the packages

• qca
• qca-devel
• qca-sasl

and restarted kopete if it is already running. After that, add a new xmpp/jabber acount with this settings:

• Jabber-ID: FACEBOOK.USERNAME@chat.facebook.com
• Password: FACEBOOKPASSWORD
• use SSL: OFF
• Plain Password: OFF

works for me.
